DNlite-IVD103

DNlite-IVD103 test is a series of patented and clinically validated non-invasive urine test for DKD Management. Patients in early stage of diabetes or with DKD are strongly recommended to manage the progression by DNlite test.

Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) is Huge Healthcare Burden

20-40% of T2DM have some level of kidney disease.

There is a high risk to become progressive decline of kidney function loss.

End stage kidney disease or kidney failure requires treatment by dialysis or kidney transplant.

DKD progression makes healthcare management complicated and costly.

Unmet Need

A new DKD biomarker as better predictor to identify patients who will progress

Current diagnosis of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) relies on test of Urine Albuminuria-to-Creatinine Ratio (UACR) and estimation of GFR (eGFR), but these cannot meet the required sensitivity and specificity for early prediction. Furthermore, both UACR and eGFR cannot predict and identify DKD patients who will progress, it is crucial for DKD management.

Current Standard Unable to Predict Kidney Progression Adequately

Our Solution: The DNlite-IVD103 Test

Bio Preventive Medicine (BPM) is an innovative clinical-staged biotech company, focusing on early detection and prevention of diseases specialty of those high value added molecular diagnostic product. BPM was invested mainly by angels and Top Taiwan Venture Capital. As an ITRI spin-off startup, BPM was founded in Q3 2014 with headquarter in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

With its core technologies derived from a National Biomarker Project, which has been sponsored by MOEA for years, BPM launched its first product “DNlite” in 2014. DNlite Test, a non-invasive urinary test for monitoring the progression of Diabetic Nephropathy, will be an effective tool for managing renal complications in diabetes and help patients from the nightmare of dialysis. In addition to technology for diabetic nephropathy, the proprietary technologies of BPM also include biomarker-based diagnostic technology for other chronic diseases and oncology.
